Update as of 4th January:
Medical facilities such as ours, regulated by the Care Quallity Commission and being medically supervised and Covid-19 compliant, have previously been advised that they do not fall into the categories of services required to close.
However, morally, the right thing to do is to close MediZen, effective immediately, in order to support our colleagues in the NHS, who are in imminent danger of being overwhelmed by this crisis. Though we feel that the protection we have in place at the clinic protects our patients and staff to a degree not seen elsewhere, even one case of Covid-19 being passed on as a result of staying open would be one too many.
As the longest established medical cosmetic clinic in the Midlands, we hope that others will look to us as an example and that our local colleagues will follow our lead, in order to help keep us all as safe as possible.
To ensure our clinic is a safe environment, we are closely following all government guidelines along with advice from the Aesthetics industry & professional bodies. We are a doctor-led practice and our priority is the safety of both our staff and patients.
