Lasers work by treating the skin with a particular wavelength of light so your practitioner will select one of excel V+’s two lasers and customise the treatment settings to target your specific skin concerns. Treatments are comfortable and fast with most treatments performed in under 10 minutes. Results can be seen usually between 1-3 treatment sessions however this does depend on your skin concerns and your desired result. Typically, you can wear make-up and return to normal activities immediately after treatment. Redness and/or swelling can be expected after treatment. For full-face treatments, swelling will peak 24 to 48 hours post-treatment but will be resolved within a few days. Treated brown spots with darken following treatment and slough off within 3 to 5 days.
For most skin concerns the excel V+ only requires one to two treatment sessions to achieve results. However, the number of treatments will vary based on your conditions, concerns and desired results. This will all be discussed with you during your consultation.
Laser genesis is one of the four compatible handpieces that is used with the excel V+. By stimulating collagen regrowth Laser Genesis effectively reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, tightens pores, reduces oil production, improves overall tone and texture on the skin, gets rid of sun damage and helps to diminish any redness on the skin. Laser Genesis works by gently heating the dermis, which is located below the skin’s surface. Patients often find the treatment very soothing, as there is zero discomfort involved.
This treatment makes skin firmer, tighter and creates a more even complexion but can also be used to treat melasma and reduce the size of pores. Chronic conditions such as rosacea can be treated with this procedure as well as helping reduce acne scarring and discolouration.
