Innovative technology
delivered by skilled, experienced clinicians
Treatments for warts and verruca’s are no longer offered by the NHS, so if you’re looking for an accessible option MediZen can help. We are 1 of only 4 medical clinics in the UK that provides Swift as a treatment for skin lesions.
While there are other wart and verruca treatment options available, they do not impact the virus, allowing the lesions to continue growing back. Swift is the most effective treatment option, offering a permanent solution.
Generally your wart treatment won’t last longer than a few minutes. During the treatment a probe is placed on each treatment area 5 times for 2 seconds at a time.
Most patients will see a full result between 3-4 treatments. The effectiveness of each treatment can be dependent on age and how long the lesion has been there, so the number of treatments required can differ patient to patient.
Like with many other treatments for skin lesions, you may experience some minor discomfort. It is also not uncommon for patients to feel a sharp sensation similar to an injection.
Unlike most treatments for warts and verruca’s, the pain you feel during the treatment subsides quickly, so there is no downtime. It’s only rare to experience prolonged pain post treatment. In some cases the treated area may feel sore but it shouldn’t prevent you from undertaking your normal daily activities.
Each course of treatment is usually between 4-6 weeks apart.
You may start seeing an improvement between 2-4 weeks after your first treatment. Results will not be immediate after each treatment and a full course is needed for complete removal.
With few exceptions, most people with skin lesions are able to have this wart removal treatment.
As one of the UK’s leading medical aesthetic clinical trial and training centres, and one of only a handful of cosmetic clinics registered with the Government’s Care Quality Commission, you can be confident that our focus is your needs and that quality, training, safety and pain management are paramount in everything that we offer.
We have been using injectables here at MediZen for over 20 years. MediZen’s clinical director, Dr David Eccleston, was one of the first doctors in the UK to offer injectables and is therefore extremely experienced in the use of all injectable treatments, leading to him being named by Tatler as the ‘Man in the Midlands for Injectables’.
All of our injectors have been trained personally by Dr Eccleston, so no matter who you see, you can rest assured they have the skills and knowledge required to give you subtle, natural-looking results in the safest of environments.
