This fat dissolving treatment is the only injectable fat-dissolving agent licensed specifically for chin fat treatment and is based on deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, the treatment destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so when the fat is gone, it’s gone!
At each treatment, you will receive multiple small injections under the chin, with the injection process taking around 20 minutes. The number of treatment sessions needed will depend on your individual chin profile. Each treatment is administered a month apart, and the average amount of sessions needed is 2-3, depending on the severity of the chin fat.
If you have a moderate amount of fat under the chin you should be suitable for the treatment. Your doctor will work with you to find the most suitable treatment plan for your needs.
The doctor will work with you to create a tailored plan based on your individual needs. At each treatment, you will be given multiple small injections under your chin. You may receive up to 6 treatment sessions, spaced at least 1 month apart. Many patients experience visible results in 2 to 4 treatments.
Once injected, the treatment destroys the fat cells under the chin. Once destroyed, the cells cannot store or accumulate fat so when they’re gone they’re gone!
