Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Birmingham

MediZen has been reshaping noses without surgery in Birmingham for years. Even now, it is still one of the treatments people travel across the Midlands to have done properly. A small, measured amount of medical-grade filler is placed by a doctor with a real eye for proportion. In one appointment, it can lift a drooping tip, soften a bump or straighten a profile.

Who is non-surgical rhinoplasty for?

Most people who ask us about a non-surgical nose job in Birmingham have spent years catching the same thing. They see it in every photograph. A small bump on the bridge that only shows up in profile. A tip that dips a little when they smile. A slight lean that nobody else seems to notice, until they cannot stop noticing it themselves. If that sounds familiar, this is the treatment worth understanding. Perhaps the thought of surgery feels like too big a step for a change you would rather keep reversible.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty, sometimes called a liquid rhinoplasty or simply nose filler, suits people who want to:

  • Smooth a bump or hump on the bridge
  • Lift and support a tip that droops or points down
  • Straighten a profile or even out a nose that reads as slightly crooked
  • Build up a flat or low bridge
  • Refine the level ‘ski slope’ between bridge and tip
  • Soften small bumps or asymmetries left after a surgical rhinoplasty
  • Balance the nose against the rest of the face without committing to an operation

It is only fair to say what filler cannot do. A non-surgical rhinoplasty adds structure, so it refines and straightens rather than shrinking a large nose. If your main goal is to reduce overall size, a conversation with a surgeon is the honest first step. The same is true if you have trouble breathing through your nose, or if you want a permanent change. Your MediZen doctor will tell you that plainly at your consultation. They will not sell you a treatment that was never going to get you there.

What is non-surgical rhinoplasty?

A non-surgical rhinoplasty reshapes the nose with a medical-grade dermal filler instead of a scalpel. Working from a face-to-face medical assessment, your doctor places tiny amounts of a hyaluronic acid based gel. These go at precise points along the bridge, the tip or the sides. Adding a little height or support in exactly the right spot changes the way light falls across the nose. That is what straightens a profile, lifts a tip or makes a bump seem to melt away. Nothing is cut and nothing is broken. The shape is built up, not carved down.

The result is visible straight away, and settles over the next few days as any minor swelling eases. It lasts 12 to 18 months before the filler is gradually and naturally broken down by the body. Because the gel is hyaluronic acid based, the shape can be fine-tuned at a review. In the rare event it is ever needed, it can be dissolved by a doctor. If you want to understand the general safety framework around injectable fillers, it helps to read up before you book. The NHS guide to dermal fillers is a sensible, non-commercial place to start.

The nose is the most technical, millimetre-by-millimetre area on the whole face, and it is unforgiving of guesswork. At MediZen it is treated slowly, with a clear plan and a clear picture of where the vessels run. Approached that way, a non-surgical rhinoplasty is one of the most rewarding treatments a doctor can offer. That is because the person looking back in the mirror still looks like themselves, only balanced.

Why the injector matters more than the filler

With most aesthetic treatments the device does much of the work. Nose reshaping is different. The nose sits over a dense network of blood vessels. So, the whole safety of the procedure rests on the person holding the needle. They must know exactly where they are and work slowly and deliberately. In skilled hands it is safe and controlled. In the wrong hands it is one of the few facial treatments that can go seriously wrong. That is the single biggest reason to be selective about where you have it.

MediZen is registered with the Care Quality Commission and is an established medical aesthetic training and clinical-trial centre. Our clinical director is Dr David Eccleston, and every injector here has trained under him personally. When you are choosing anyone for a treatment like this, it is worth confirming they are a registered medical professional. The British College of Aesthetic Medicine is a useful reference point for what proper medical standards look like.

A good result also depends on reading the whole face, not just the nose. Sometimes a profile is best balanced by supporting the chin or refining the lip alongside the nose. A doctor who also offers anti-wrinkle injections and skin-quality treatments such as Profhilo can plan for the whole face. That way they aim for harmony rather than fixate on one feature. Your consultation is where that plan takes shape.

Non-surgical vs surgical rhinoplasty: which is right for you?

What to expect at your appointment

01
Your consultation
Every non-surgical rhinoplasty begins with a face-to-face consultation with one of our doctors. We take a full medical history to confirm the treatment is safe and suitable for you. We look closely at the shape of your nose and how it sits within your face. We also talk honestly about what filler can and cannot achieve for your particular concern. You will get a clear plan, a clear price and realistic expectations before you decide anything. If a surgical route would serve you better, we will say so.
02
Before your appointment
To keep bruising to a minimum, it helps to avoid alcohol for 24 hours beforehand. Where it is safe to do so, it also helps to steer clear of blood-thinning supplements for a few days. These include fish oil, high-dose vitamin E and arnica. Come with clean skin and no makeup on the nose. Let us know in advance if you have a history of cold sores. Try not to book anything major within a week or two. That said, most people simply go back to their day straight afterwards.
03
During your treatment
Your doctor talks you through the plan, confirms your medical history and takes clinical photographs for your records. Then you sign a consent form. Numbing cream can be applied first, and the gel itself contains a local anaesthetic to keep you comfortable. The filler is then placed slowly and precisely, a little at a time, with the shape checked as we go. Most appointments take around 30 to 45 minutes, and you can watch the profile change as the work is done.
04
Aftercare and results
You will see the new shape immediately and can leave straight away. Mild redness, tenderness or a little swelling around the injection points is normal. It usually settles within a few days. Any small bruise can be covered with makeup after the first day. Avoid pressure on the nose. So, no resting glasses on the bridge or firm face-down massages for a couple of weeks. Also skip saunas, steam rooms and heavy workouts for 24 to 48 hours. Your aftercare guidance comes through in writing. We check in to make sure you are happy with how it has settled.

“Extremely professional experience, prior to the procedure everything is explained perfectly, I don’t think words can explain how happy I am with the results, I also received aftercare information and contact from the clinic as a check in that all was well. Brilliant and will be recommending!”

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty prices

Every non-surgical rhinoplasty at MediZen begins with a face-to-face medical assessment. So, the plan and the price are set around your nose rather than a template. The treatment starts from £600 for a single appointment. Because the result is temporary, most people come back for a review or a top-up. This is usually once the filler begins to soften, somewhere between 12 and 18 months on. There are no hospital fees, no anaesthetist and no time booked off work to add on top.

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty FAQs

Still weighing up a non-surgical rhinoplasty in Birmingham? These are the questions our patients ask most about the treatment itself, from safety and comfort through to how long it lasts and who carries it out. For questions about a specific concern such as a bump, a drooping tip or a slimmer-looking nose, see the section just below.

Straight away. The new shape is there the moment your doctor finishes, and because there is no real downtime you can get on with your day. Any minor swelling around the injection points settles over the following few days, and the result looks its most refined within a week or two.

Between 12 and 18 months for most people. The filler is gradually broken down by the body over that time, and you can come back for a top-up when you feel it start to soften. Some people leave it longer and simply enjoy the result until it fades.

In the right hands, yes. The nose sits over important blood vessels, so this is a treatment where the skill and medical training of the injector genuinely matters. At MediZen every non-surgical rhinoplasty is doctor-led, carried out slowly and deliberately with a clear map of the anatomy. If you would like independent background reading, the NHS covers the general risks of injectable fillers on its dermal fillers page.

Most people describe it as very manageable. Numbing cream can be applied beforehand, and the gel we use contains a local anaesthetic, so the area quickly settles once we begin. You may feel a little pressure as the filler is placed rather than sharp pain. If you are anxious about discomfort, tell your doctor and we will take it at your pace.

For most people the only side effects are a little redness, tenderness or minor swelling around the injection points, all of which fade within a few days. A small bruise is possible and easy to cover with makeup. Serious complications are rare, and avoiding them is precisely why this treatment should only ever be doctor-led and carried out with a proper understanding of the anatomy.

There is none to speak of. You can walk out and carry on with your day, whether that means heading back to the office or straight out to meet friends. Give saunas, steam rooms and hard workouts a miss for a day or two, and keep glasses off the bridge for a couple of weeks while everything settles.

Usually just one. A single appointment is generally enough to reshape the nose and reveal the full result on the day. Now and then a small review top-up is booked a few weeks later to perfect the profile, and your doctor will tell you honestly at the consultation whether that is likely for your nose.

It depends entirely on what you want to change. For softening a bump, lifting a tip or straightening a profile, a non-surgical rhinoplasty gives instant results with no scarring, no hospital stay and no time off, and often a more natural look. Surgery is the better route if you need to reduce the overall size of your nose or correct a breathing problem. Our comparison above lays out the trade-offs honestly.

For the right concern, most of our patients feel it is. You get an instant, reversible change with no operation, no scarring and no time away from work, at a fraction of the cost of surgery. It earns its place when your goal is to refine, straighten or balance the nose rather than shrink it, which is the one thing filler genuinely cannot do.

Because we use a hyaluronic acid based filler, the shape can be adjusted at a review, and in the rare case it is ever needed it can be dissolved by a doctor. That reversibility is one of the reasons so many people try nose filler before considering anything permanent.

A non-surgical rhinoplasty at MediZen starts from £600 for a single treatment, with the exact plan confirmed at your consultation. It uses the same doctor-led injecting expertise as our other dermal filler treatments, and there are no hospital or anaesthetist fees to add on.

Usually around 30 to 45 minutes from start to finish, including time to talk through your plan, take clinical photos and let the numbing settle. The injecting itself is quick, since only a small, precise amount of filler is needed to reshape the nose.

Aftercare is refreshingly simple. Leave the nose alone for a couple of weeks, which means no pressure from glasses, goggles or firm massage, and steer clear of heat and heavy exercise for the first day or two. A small bruise can be covered with makeup after 24 hours, and full written guidance goes home with you so nothing is left to memory.

You need to be over 18 to have any dermal filler treatment with us, including non-surgical rhinoplasty. Beyond that there is no upper age limit, and suitability comes down to the health of your skin and the shape you would like to refine, both of which your doctor assesses in person.

We do not carry out non-surgical rhinoplasty during pregnancy or while you are breastfeeding, simply because there is not enough safety data to justify it and there is no need to rush. Wait until afterwards and we will be glad to help. Your doctor confirms this routinely as part of taking your medical history.

Very often, and it is where results look their most natural. A balanced profile depends on more than the nose alone, so some people pair their non-surgical rhinoplasty with a little support to the chin or lips, soften expression lines with anti-wrinkle injections, or lift overall skin quality with Profhilo. Your doctor plans the whole face at your consultation rather than treating one feature in isolation.

A doctor. MediZen is registered with the Care Quality Commission, and our clinical director is Dr David Eccleston. Every injector here has trained under him personally, so whoever you see, you are in genuinely experienced medical hands.

By concern

Non-surgical rhinoplasty for your concern

Wondering whether nose filler can help with your particular concern? These are the questions we hear most about treating individual issues, from bumps and drooping tips to a nose that you would like to look slimmer, along with where we treat and how nose filler and non-surgical rhinoplasty relate to each other.

This is one of the most common reasons people book. By placing a little filler above and below a bump on the bridge, your doctor can level the profile so the hump no longer catches the light, which makes the whole nose read as straighter. It is a favourite fix precisely because the change looks so natural in profile.

Yes. A careful amount of filler placed to support the base of the nose can lift and define a tip that droops or points downward, sometimes called tip plasty. It is a subtle change that often has a surprising effect on how balanced the whole face looks, especially when you smile.

It can. Adding height to a low or flat bridge is one of the things nose filler does most reliably, giving more definition and structure to the centre of the face. Your doctor will build it gradually and check the profile as they go so the result suits your features.

This is where honesty matters. Filler adds volume, so it cannot physically shrink a nose. What it can do is straighten and balance the profile so the nose looks more refined and, in the right cases, appears slimmer and less prominent because the eye is no longer drawn to a bump or a droop. If your goal is a genuine reduction in size, surgery is the route we would point you toward.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is sometimes searched for as a nose slimming injection, but it works by adding structure to refine the profile, not by dissolving anything. Fat dissolving injections are a separate treatment used in areas like the chin and jaw, not the nose. If it is a fuller chin or jawline that is throwing your profile off balance, our injectable fat dissolving treatment may be the better conversation to have.

Often, yes. If a previous surgical rhinoplasty has left minor bumps, dips or small asymmetries, filler can be used to smooth and even them out without another operation. We will assess your nose carefully first, since scar tissue behaves differently, and tell you honestly whether we can help.

Yes. MediZen looks after patients from across Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield and the wider Midlands, and non-surgical rhinoplasty is doctor-led at our clinic. Get in touch and we will find a consultation time that suits you.

They are two names for the same treatment. Nose filler, liquid rhinoplasty and non-surgical rhinoplasty all describe reshaping the nose with a hyaluronic acid dermal filler rather than surgery. You can see how it sits within our wider range of doctor-led dermal filler treatments, and your consultation is the place to confirm it is right for you.
