Whether it’s a mum tum or bingo wings, many of us have ‘pinchable’ areas of stubborn body fat that we’d rather not have. Sometimes, despite our best efforts, these stubborn areas of fat can be hard to remove despite proper dieting and exercise.
Age, metabolic rates and genetics can all have a bearing on the amount of body fat we have and getting rid of it is important, not just for aesthetic reasons but for health reasons too. Excess fat can generate chemical troublemakers that travel to your blood vessels and organs where they can cause inflammation that can contribute to problems like heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance and some cancers. Reducing this unwanted body fat is not only important for our appearance and self-confidence but also vitally important for our long-term health and well-being.
