MediZen strive to offer a SAFE and effective service. We don’t cut corners, and invest in staff training and buying the best equipment. We NEVER compromise your safety by trying to save money re-using certain items of equipment that should be disposable – yes, this does happen in some clinics!
It can be difficult to choose a clinic from glossy websites and leaflets – especially if you’re on a tight budget where the tendency may be to choose the lowest price! Some of our staff have worked in medical aesthetics for over a decade, and they know that there are huge differences between clinics and individual practitioners. Our experience would indicate that, when it comes to medical treatments on your face or body, you may want to consider the old adage “you get what you pay for”!

In Safe Hands - MediZen are Registered with The Healthcare Commission

MediZen received registration approval in 2005 following a full day of investigation of all aspects of our staff training programs, safety systems, and operating and monitoring procedures by two Government regulators, we are proud to say that MediZen have received full approval to operate our clinic in Mere Green.
Registration requires us to continually monitor and improve all aspects of our service, and ongoing (unscheduled) regulator visits by The Healthcare Commission will also provide external and independent reports on all aspects of MediZen's services.  
Not all clinics offering medical aesthetic treatments have undergone this intense scrutiny of all aspects of their service. When you visit MediZen you can be confident that everything that we say and do has been checked by an independent regulator.
Following Government investigations concerning some aspects of the private medical market place in the UK, The Healthcare Commission was recently set up to approve and monitor clinics offering certain medical aesthetic treatments. Current legislation means that providers of cosmetic surgery treatments or laser and Intense Pulsed Light treatments need to be registered.

    Some clinics charge a consultation fee, but we are happy to provide expert advice with our nurse practitioner or skincare specialist to help you make a decision. 

  • FREE Patch Tests (where applicable)
    Some clinics charge for patch testing to see if you are suitable for certain treatments. We want to ensure that you are medically suitable for any treatment program that you undertake BEFORE we charge you.

  • National Clinical Trial and Training Centre
    MediZen have developed a National reputation as a clinical trial centre training centre for Doctors and Nurses involved in medical aesthetic treatments - and we have trained over 800 doctors on the safe and effective use of Botox and other cosmetic treatments over the last 7 years. In addition, we have run clinical investigative studies with Botox and other botulinum toxins; were the first clinic in the world to study the effects of allogeneic fibroblasts for acne scarring; and have investigated the effect of blue light therapy for the treatment of active acne.

  • Minimising Treatment Discomfort Wherever Possible
    Many of our clients are concerned about whether treatments will hurt. As a result we constantly evaluate the discomfort associated with procedures and have developed our own unique methods to ensure that treatments are as comfortable as possible. We publish “comfort” scores that are based on actual survey results and we give all of our clients the option of total control throughout the procedure with our unique “Comfort Monitor”.

  • Specialist Staff with Local Doctor and Nurse Led Clinic
    We feel that medical aesthetic treatments should be delivered in a specialist medically led clinic rather than one owned by non-medical providers. This gives our customers confidence that any problems will be dealt with quickly and that you won't be treated by a different Doctor or Nurse when you come in for repeat treatments. 
    The popularity of medical aesthetic treatments has grown tremendously in recent years. However, due to lack of effective industry regulation and poor training standards, people seeking these treatments will find a huge difference in the skill and expertise of practitioners and the menu of products promoted by clinics.

  • Latest Technology Available
    MediZen only invest in the best medically proven technology and products that have been proven to deliver results. In our experience, lower specification/lower priced medical aesthetic equipment and products that can be found in some other clinics or occasionally beauty salons, do not provide consistently effective results.
    MediZen also own the Midlands only 3 Dimensional and 2 Dimensional Imaging systems that provide state of the art pre and post-treatment images helping you to objectively evaluate the effectiveness of any aesthetic treatments undertaken.

  • Presciption Strength Skin Creams that Work
    MediZen provide clear, practical guidance on skincare. Department stores and beauty salons often give confusing and conflicting advice about the best products for your skin, and there is often very limited evidence of the effectiveness of any products recommended. Only in a medically led clinic can you access prescription strength skincare products that really work – enhancing the health of your skin and providing value for money. Remember – the most expensive products are the ones that don’t work!

    MediZen is conveniently, but discreetly, located in offices above the main high street in Mere Green which can be easily accessed from major motorway routes including the M42, M6 and M6 toll. Local parking is also available.

Our Commitment

 Our commitment to you doesn't just stop after your treatment; with our comprehensive aftercare program we ensure that you have all the information and support structure you need following your treatment with us.

Some clinics employ Doctors or Nurses who travel from another part of the country to perform treatments in a salon or clinic. We ensure that we only employ local practitioners who live in the Sutton Coldfield area so that you always have access to them at any time following any procedure that we perform at our clinic.
 
If you have any concerns at any point throughout your treatment, you will always have access to a trained member of staff who can deal with your enquiry.

We also offer and recommend free follow up reviews after initial treatment with injectables to assess your initial response and satisfaction.
