AviClear is a revolutionary laser which specifically targets the sebaceous glands (where sebum, an oily substance is produced). When too much sebum is produced it can mix with dead skin, clogging pores and therefore resulting in pustules or cysts forming. After this treatment, your skin will produce less oil and your acne will begin to improve, helping your skin remain clear long-term.
Alternative acne treatments such as prescription medications target the entire body to treat acne often leaving you with a range of side effects. Because the AviClear laser is specifically targeted at the area with acne, side effects are minimal with little to no downtime.
AviClear is recognised by the FDA as a proven treatment for the long-term clearance of acne. Patients in the clinical trial reported that the results of the treatment got progressively better with time at 12, 18 and 24 months.

To understand how the AviClear treatment works, it’s important to know what causes acne. Acne forms when sebum, the oily substance on your skin, combines with dead skin cells and clogs your pores. Most acne treatments target other factors that cause acne, but not the actual source. AviClear uses laser light to selectively target and suppress sebaceous glands, eliminating acne at its source without the need for prescription medications.
Since the laser only targets the specific area of acne instead of the whole body, side effects are minimal. You may find your skin is red and sensitive for a short period of time post treatment, however, the redness should go away in 1-3 days.
AviClear is equipped with exclusive AviCool™ skin cooling and sensory controls that maintain your skin’s temperature for a more comfortable experience. During the treatment, you may feel a slight snapping sensation. In clinical studies, patients tolerated the treatment well, without the need for pain mitigation or the need to stop the treatment session.

We treat children from 15+ for this treatment. A parent or guardian must consent to the treatment and be present for all appointments. If you are under 18 you will be required to see a doctor or nurse before commencing treatment.
