Polynucleotides – A ground breaking treatment to help you achieve radiant skin

What are polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides are relatively small molecules that are injected into the skin just under the surface. The Polynucleotides used in aesthetics are typically extracted from the DNA of salmon. Salmon is chosen as a source because its DNA structure closely resembles that of humans. The extracted polynucleotides are processed and purified to obtain a stable form suitable for aesthetic products.

How do they work?

Polynucleotides interact with various cell receptors and stimulate specific cellular responses which increase production of collagen and elastin. They are injected into specific target areas of concern, such as the face, neck or hands. The number of injections may vary depending on your individual needs and desired results.

Founded in 1999 by the worldwide trainer and key opinion leader, Dr David Eccleston, we are the Midlands Premier Aesthetic Clinic. We provide a range of treatments covering face, skin and body and wellness all with the aim of helping you feel your most confident self. It is our firm belief that this can only be achieved in a medically led clinic such as ours.

What are the benefits of Polynucleotides Injections?

  • Stimulate Collagen Production: As we age, the production of collagen decreases. Polynucleotides can help reverse this process by triggering collagen production in your skin. This results in smoother, firmer skin with a noticeable reduction in fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Accelerate Tissue Repair: Whether you’re dealing with acne scars, sun damage or other forms of skin imperfections, polynucleotides can assist in accelerating tissue repair. By activating the body’s natural healing mechanisms, this treatment promotes the regeneration of damaged skin cells.
  • Enhance Skin Hydration: Skin dehydration is a common concern for many. Polynucleotides have the ability to enhance skin hydration by improving the skin’s natural moisture-retaining capabilities. As a result you’re left with a radiant, well-hydrated complexion and a youthful glow.
  • Anti-inflammatory: Polynucleotides have shown anti-inflammatory properties which can help reduce redness, irritation and swelling in the skin. This may be beneficial if you’re suffering with sensitive or reactive skin conditions.
  • Minimise Scarring and Stretch Marks: Polynucleotides can also be effective in reducing the appearance of scars, including acne scars, as well as stretch marks. By stimulating collagen production and promoting tissue regeneration, these injectables can help smooth out uneven skin texture.
  • Safe and Non-Invasive: Polynucleotides are a safe and minimally invasive treatment option. This treatment is performed by our experienced medical professionals who will tailor the treatment to you, in a safe and comfortable environment.
FAQ

We’re here to help

When having polynucleotides for the first time you will require 3-4 treatments every 3-4 weeks. After this to maintain results, you should have treatment every 6 months.

You should see noticeable results after the first treatment which will only improve over time. Final results will be visible around 6 weeks after the final treatment and with no maintenance sessions will last for up to 1 year.

A medical professional will administer lots of little injections just under the surface of your skin across the desired treatment area. There is no anaesthetic in the product so you may feel a slight stinging sensation. If desired, we can also apply numbing cream to the area prior to the treatment.

While polynucleotides injections are similar to Profhilo, they are not the same. Profhilo is a hyaluronic acid injectable skin booster used to deeply hydrate the skin and give you glowing skin. Profhilo tends to be used on younger skin types as it’s pure HA and isn’t as effective in reducing the common signs of ageing. Polynucleotides on the other hand make your fibroblasts produce collagen, therefore helping remodel the skin and improve many of the signs of ageing.

As the skin is being injected in lots of places on the treated area, small bumps/injection marks may appear and can last for a few days following treatment. As with any injectable treatment, there is a risk of redness, swelling and bruising.

Most people are suitable for polynucleotide treatment, however, it is most beneficial for older skin. As we age, our bodies produce less collagen and elastin, which is why many of the common signs of ageing occur. Polynucleotides help to stimulate the production of new collagen and promote cell repair to improve the skin and reduce some of the signs of ageing.

Yes! Polynucleotides are not made of fish, just from fish DNA. No allergic reactions have been reported in those who have fish allergies.

We can treat multiple areas including the face, neck and hands. Polynucleotides are great for treating the area around the eyes and mouth as well as other areas prone to losing elasticity as you age.
