Before your treatment you will have an initial consultation with one of our practitioners to determine your suitability. During the treatment, cooling cups are gently applied to the treated area. The cups safely remove heat from the fat cells under the skin, effectively freezing the fat and causing the cells to die. As the cooling begins, during the first few minutes you will typically feel intense cold but after around 7 minutes the treated area will go numb and you won’t feel much. After the treatment, you may feel some slight discomfort as the area is massaged for approximately 2 minutes.
The CoolSculpting® procedure is suitable for people who have pinchable areas of fat or noticeable bulges they’d like to get rid of. Unfortunately, we cannot treat visceral fat or people who suffer with cryoglobulinaemia, cold agglutinin disease or paroxysmal cold haemoglobinuria.

Some of the typical side effects you might experience include redness, swelling and numbness. Numbness can persist for up to several weeks. You may also feel a sensation of fullness in the back of the throat after submental treatment. All the effects mentioned above are temporary and will generally resolve within a few days to a couple of weeks.
Most patients see results within 12 weeks of treatment. This, however, depends on your individual circumstances. Some will see results earlier and others later as the body continues to flush out the fat cells for up to 6 months after treatment.
To get the most effective results with CoolSculpting, we recommend a healthy diet and regular exercise alongside your treatment. You could even partner it with one of our weight management plans such as Dimagra.
The duration of each CoolSculpting treatment depends on the specific area being targeted. However, most sessions typically last between 35 minutes to an hour per area. For larger treatment plans or when multiple areas are addressed, the total time may be longer, sometimes up to a few hours.
Depending on your bespoke treatment plan, it’s possible to treat more than one area in a single session, maximising your time while achieving comprehensive results. Your provider will discuss the estimated treatment time during your consultation so you can plan accordingly.
