Quicker healing, higher rates of success
and fewer side effects.
Here at MediZen we use a micro-needling pen, this treatment causes considerably less damage to the surface of your skin compared to dermal rolling, lasers and other ablative treatments. In turn, this promotes quicker healing along with higher success rates and fewer side effects.
You will need a course of treatments to see complete results, however, micro-needling will help improve the quality of your skin, giving it a clearer, healthier and smoother appearance. This treatment can effectively help with skin concerns such as fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, large pores, texture, scarring and loose skin.
Founded in 1999 by the worldwide trainer and key opinion leader, Dr David Eccleston, we are the Midlands Premier Aesthetic Clinic. We provide a range of treatments covering face, skin and body and wellness all with the aim of helping you feel your most confident self. It is our firm belief that this can only be achieved in a medically led clinic such as ours.
In a recent satisfaction survey, 94% of patients rated their overall experience with us as good or very good and 95% of patients said their results from treatment were good or very good.
Immediately after treatment, you will experience some redness to the skin, similar to sunburn. This may last for several hours post treatment. You may also experience some mild crusting or shedding of the skin over the following weeks while your skin heals. This can be managed using our recommended post-procedure skincare.
Your micro-needling treatment will involve three steps:
Step 1: Before the treatment, a numbing agent is applied to the treatment area, ensuring the procedure is comfortable and pain-free. Your practitioner will then massage a hydrating serum into your skin to boost overall skin health.
Step 2: Afterwards, your practitioner will run the needling pen slowly across the specific area being treated. The needles inside the pen device will create small perforations to repair, renew and rejuvenate the top layer of your skin.
Step 3: Your practitioner will continue working the micro-needling pen around your skin in a circular motion. The treatment time will depend on the size of the area being treated.
We will use numbing cream before your microneedling treatment to minimise any pain. You may feel some pressure sensations, however, it shouldn’t be painful.
