Course Objectives

Understand the anatomy and physiology of the skin and the science of laser hair removal.
Explain how laser hair removal works, including the role of light absorption by the pigment in the hair.
Identify types of lasers used for hair removal and their appropriate applications.
Recognize different skin and hair types to tailor laser treatments effectively.
Identify contraindications and safety protocols.
Demonstrate the understanding of pre and post care.
Understand the difference between adverse reactions and clinical end points.
Recognise side effects of laser hair removal and understand how to manage adverse reactions.
Adjust settings based on the patient’s skin and hair characteristics to ensure safety and efficacy.
Demonstrate correct positioning and technique for conducting laser hair removal on various body parts.
Learn how to communicate with clients to manage their expectations regarding the hair reduction process.

How long is the course?

This is a one-day course which runs from 9.30am until 4pm.

What does the course include?

This one-day course will provide you with both the theory and practical knowledge required to begin offering laser hair removal to your own patients. You’ll be provided with a handbook, lunch, a model for practical training and a certificate on completion and passing of an exam.

Our training academy is located within our main clinic. Our clinic address is: MediZen, Suite A, Astor House, 282 Lichfield Road, Mere Green, Birmingham, B74 2UG.

Who will be training me?

Our laser hair removal courses are taught by either Laura Gallagher or Natalie Johnson. Both are experienced aesthetic practitioners here at MediZen.

Is this course CPD-certified?

Yes! All our courses are CPD certified.

What is required to pass the course?

Following completion of all the required theory and practical training, you will be given a short exam to ensure your knowledge of the day has been retained. On passing this exam, you’ll receive a certificate to show you completed the course.
