Over the years we assembled a team of professionals dedicated to ensuring that we deliver the best treatments in a safe environment, where your privacy and needs are our utmost concern. We have multiple highly skilled injectors, trained personally by Dr. Eccleston, as well as a team of practitioners who offer many treatments including CoolSculpting and Hydrafacials.
All of our clinical staff have passed extensive training courses for every treatment that they offer, are CRB checked and registered with their appropriate governing bodies; our reception and administrative staff are similarly trained to ensure that you get the best overall service that our industry can offer.
At MediZen we truly believe that the best treatments come down to the best practitioners partnered with the best products, which is why we use leading brands throughout. As a medically led and owned clinic, we take pride in the quality of our service and you can be sure that ethics come before profit: We will not treat you for the sake of it, we much prefer to refer and recommend other expert colleagues.
I’m Dr. David Eccleston and I am the Clinical Director of MediZen. I founded MediZen in 1999 alongside my wife Annie. I was one of the first doctors in the country to offer injectables and my experience has led me to be recognised as 'Aesthetic Doctor of the Year' and ‘Tatler's 'Man in the Midlands' for aesthetic injectables.
Dr. Eccleston has over 20 years of experience using Anti-Wrinkle Injections and other injectables, including dermal fillers. He developed an interest in Cosmetic Dermatology during 1993 while working as an NHS GP and then founded MediZen in 1999 alongside his wife, Annie. Every aesthetic practitioner at MediZen has been personally trained and approved by Dr. Eccleston, so you can be sure whoever you see at MediZen, you will receive the highest quality treatment.
Dr. Eccleston is one of the few medical practitioners in the UK to be a lead investigator in clinical trials on the use of all 3 of the UK licensed brands of Anti-Wrinkle Injections. He works closely with leading companies including Allergan, Galderma and Merz Pharmaceuticals.
Named Tatlers 'Man In The Midlands for Injectables'®, Dr. Eccleston has received personal training from worldwide experts in the field, including Dr. Jean Carruthers, the doctor credited with first identifying the potential for Anti-Wrinkle Injections as an aesthetic treatment in Canada in the late 1980s.
As he has grown in expertise he began training other practitioners himself and has now personally trained over 10,000 Doctors on injection technique in the use of Anti-Wrinkle Injections for cosmetic purposes and excessive sweating, and the use of dermal fillers for facial contouring. He is now an international trainer and has educated practitioners from cosmetic capitals all over the world, including many Harley Street doctors. He travels widely, training and mentoring practitioners on the safe and correct use of anti-wrinkle injectables and dermal fillers, a subject he is extremely passionate about. This led him to found his own training centre; The MediZen Academy.
Dr. Eccleston is an International Key Opinion Leader in the cosmetic world and a member of the Allergan faculty (the world’s largest cosmetic injectables supplier). His role with Allergan involves managing complications and helping people who have received incorrect or poor treatment. He is now recognised as the UK's complications expert. He recently won 'Proactive Doctor of the Year' at the Safety in Beauty Awards. The Safety in Beauty awards champions those who go the extra mile to keep the public safe from rogue and unscrupulous practitioners and, commends “special candidates who have displayed extraordinary dedication to raising awareness and standards in the beauty, health, aesthetics field."
Dr. Eccleston is an active member of The British College of Aesthetic Medicine and has an international reputation for being an entertaining speaker, lecturing on the subject of aesthetic medicine in both the UK and abroad. He has also appeared in and authored many magazine articles and taken part in television and radio interviews on the subject of non-surgical medical aesthetics. He has featured in The Daily Mail multiple times, namely as one of the UK's top 10 Anti-Wrinkle Doctors in the feature; 'superstars of the aesthetic world'.
Outside the clinic, as well as running a private GP practice (The Oakley Partnership), Dr. Eccleston enjoys playing golf, skiing, riding his motorcycle and ticking off his travel bucket-list with his wife Annie.
Annie founded MediZen with David in 1999 and is the Managing Director.
Annie qualified as a RGN in 1989 and then worked in Orthopaedics and Intensive Care for many years. She developed an interest in aesthetics when she started working with David after the launch of Medizen in 1999. Over the years she has developed and perfected her own injection techniques, as well as having an active role in the ongoing training and support of all staff.
When not at the clinic, Annie enjoys walking the family dog, Marmite, and playing golf.
